Art Standards are posted in my room as well as on my web site in several places. The student pages include each lesson which has the art standards as well as the reading standard listed. The parent page also includes a link to the art standards.

-Differentiation is used in my classroom to meet all student needs and am walking around giving students feedback through out each class. There is also a table at the front of the desk for any student or for students that I meet with for individual instruction.

-I also teach my students to use goal setting with in their development of art. This teaches all students at their level (4th grade portraits and 5th grade contour line drawings are specific examples).
During 5th grade Tiger Time this year, I showed a strength in responding to student progress (or lack there of) and adjusting the instruction at appropriate times.
Engages students in varied experiences that meet diverse needs and promote social, emotional, and academic growth.

Art Show and Art Tour - This is a simulation of a museum tour. Students are to act appropriately and are responsible when selecting their favorite art work (students are reminded of art reasons).
Connects students' prior knowledge, life experiences, and interests in the instructional process.

4th Grade Calling Card Project -Students create the project based on their interests.
Uses available resources, including technologies, in the delivery of instruction.
